This module introduces students to the Ontario Highway Traffic Act and to the Provincial Offences Act. Students learn POA procedures and the application of the POA and HTA from both the prosecutorial and defence perspectives, given that paralegals appear in provincial courts as both prosecutors and defence agents. At the completion of this module students will have a comprehensive overview of traffic court and its proceedings.
