This module will focus on the protection and enforcement of rights of both landlords and tenants, as provided for in the new Residential Tenancies Act. The students will be taught the legal principles applicable to residential tenancies as well as the procedures involved in disputes and rent review applications. They will be guided, step by step, through the process of tribunal hearings using case studies and practical examples. Students will work with tribunal forms and useful precedents.
